For websites, web apps or web software solutions we produce which require their own dedicated server, we can provide Linux-based virtual servers in an Isle of Man datacentre. These servers are provided as Managed Virtual Machines.
This means in addition to the basic cost of the VM, vCPU’s, RAM, Disc Space and Bandwidth, we also include Backup, Server Management and Monitoring. Data from the server will be backed up to a separate server providing an off-device copy of your data. Our server management ensures that security patches and updates are applied and OS upgrades are performed as needed.
In addition, the server's availability is monitored by an external system, which will notify us of any unavailability. The server will also be contained within our hardware infrastructure with an Isle of Man data centre and behind a hardware firewall.
